Hi all my broadband and talk contract ends in May but I have just had another broadband provider installed last week so I've rang sky to give them notice on my broadband and talk to which I was told there would be a£34.50 early termination charge .I asked the lady if that was my only payment to pay and would I havecto pay the remaining monthly broadband and talk bill between now and May and she said no leaving me to believe that the £34.50 is all I pay to get it cancelled on the date she gave me as 26.2.2024 as the termination date.I have just looked at my billing on my sky and the broadband boost has shown up on future bills as gone but the broadband price on the next few months bills still show as owing so am I to believe I am paying sky £34.50 to terminate early and still paying march April and mays broadband bill which works out as £90+ pounds for the next 3 months total on top of the early exit fee.If so I would of waited till 31 days before my end of contract to terminate and saved the early exit fee.I feel I'm being ripped off if that's the case.

Find out moreWith regards to future billing this does continue as normal right up to the day you leave so if any bill is created between now and the 26th then it would have to be paid and then after you have left it would be refunded back to you. You will have to pay the early termination fee as you are aware.

Many thanks so am i to assume that once the 26th has passed the future billings i.e march april and may will at that point not show a charge for broadband for those 3 months payments although at this point they do.

Find out moreThat should be what happens, once you have left then future bills should only show the amount that is due to be returned to you as it should appear as a credit. Once you do see the credit post back on here as we can alert Sky's messaging team for you who in turn will get in contact you via here as they can issue the refund for you, so long as you leave your payment method in place.
