Confusing emails

I have received many emails saying sorry to hear I am leaving Sky. I have not asked and have no intention of leaving. These emails look like official Sky ones, even use my surname in 'Dear Mr ****. Will these be scams?

@ToonSteve

As customers we can't say for certain. For peace of mind it may be best to call Sky and explain this.

If you already have a Sky Mobile or a Sky Talk landline call free by dialling 150, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
ROI: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

Similar to calling a lot of large companies the start will be an automated response which may try to send you back to the forum.

If these emails are to do with your Sky Broadband then it might be that somebody has entered a wrong address when trying to change suppliers hence you getting them so you do need to phone Sky as soon as you can about this.

Re: Confusing emails

As above, ACT NOW, @ToonSteve !

If there is a leaving date on the emails your broadband will cease on that date unless you take urgent action.

It is likely a mistake by someone but if you don't tell Sky you wish to stay the transfer will go ahead and if you have a landline service you may lose that number and have great difficulty getting it back.

@ToonSteve

You originally posted this on the Sky+ board so can you confirm what Sky services the email makes reference to?
