Chased and charged for non return of equipment from 3 years ago
I had to cancel my lifelong sky subscription in November 2021 due to moving house.
No fee was incurred and I had to send back my sky box which I duely sent back. With a few weeks.
I have since been chased and harrasswd by a debt recovery firm stating I never returned the box and are threating a CCJ .
I have only just found out about this and was considering taking out another sky package but this sort of behavior is sickening.
Trying to find proof of sending this back now but as it was 3 years ago I am struggling to locate.

Even if a mistake has been made here Sky would have contacted you a number of times about this before passing it onto this debt collection agency.
If you do manage to find the proof of posting or at the very least an email from Sky thanking you from returning it then it would help to get this sorted.

Even if they had contacted me i assumed the matter closed as it was sent back. I dont regularly check emails etc so was unaware if they contacted me.
Then I was contacted by other agencies saying I owed them and I generally thought it was a scam.
Chances are I will not find this proof as it is now 3 years old. No email from sky that I can find from that long ago.
Really don't need this right now.

Unfortunately without proof of posting Sky are unlikely to remove the non return fees which are outlined in this link, especially if they've had no response from any communication they've sent which is why they've passed the debt to a debt recovery agency.
