Charged twice

Initially my monthly SKY TV bill was setup via direct debit, but I changed this last month as I wanted to pay manually via credit card. On Monday 15th December my bill was due, so I paid this. Two days later I notice a second charge, so now I have been charged twice. I can see that the second charge has been added on my account for my next bill, but I would like this refunded back to me. How do I go about this? Sky live assistant doesn't seem to understand my question and cannot help me. What do I do?

The T's and C's state you should have a direct debit or continuous card payment method set up. You therefore never need to make a manual payment. Once the planned payment that Sky are expecting has been processed a credit should appear on your Sky account for the amount you have overpaid. Sky will take this via payment methods they have recorded for you.

I would suggest NOT making any manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

If you prefer, once your extra payment is showing as a credit, contact Sky who can arrange a refund within the standard 3-5 working days.

You will need to either call, use Sky Assistant or perhaps use social media to initially make contact.
