Chargeback notice after I have been refunded and account closed

Hello,

 

I cancelled my Sky account and expected a refund for the part month of subscription .

 

another  direct debit came off my account afterwards the cancellation date. So I disputed it with my bank.

 

Since then I received a part refund for part month.

 

i now received a letter charging me for the chargeback fee of £7.50 on my next bill. But I am not a Sky customer anymore and I was not meant to be charged so why should I have to pay the fee.

 

there is no number or email address to query this fee. Can anyone assist?

@BryanGr  How did you cancel and did you receive confiormation of the cancellation and the date services would end?

 

Sky bill up to the next payment due date even if the services ends mid month, any overpayment would normally be refunded, however if you did a chargeback this may have been incorrect.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi

I cancelled it online on 19/8/24 and received email confirmation that the last day was 19/9/24.

 

Next debit order 3rd October £40.

I disputed on 3 October and bank added back to my account.

Refund of £16 on 4 November.

Letter 14 November about £7.50 chargeback.
