Change of address resulted in contract extension

Recently moved house and Sky has started a new two year contract. There are no other changes and I am only about six months into my contract. I read supporting info that said a change of address didn't affect anything else. Is this correct?

I believe it doesn't affect TV subscriptions but does for broadband/Talk.
