Hi, hwo does anyone manage to speak to a UK based person to discuss Sky package to reduce cost. Spoke to someone who had great difficulty understanding me then gave me info that wasn't correct so nearly ended up paying even more than the extorianate bill of £165 a month !!! Thanks

there is no automatic right to a uk based agent your call will be answered by the first available agent regardless of where they are based

SKY really is taking the micky. I have been with them 4.5yrs gold vip and they want to give me a 44 percent increase this year. Never get sense out of the offshore Indian support desk, not there to help loyal customers get the best offers just jumped up sales people to increase profits so greedy. Increase based on providing a better service but only for some, I am not interested in the stated improvements all around football etc so why am I paying more. I will try one more time to speak to a uk based person who can communicate in real English or I will move to another vendor.

I dont know if this will help
Had a phone call from Sky the other evening. My daughter checked the number was related to Sky before I gave telephone account password. Told me I was ouit of contract and could offer me a great deal for a new 18 month contract. Best deal was £2 more if I included Cinema which I rejected. Phoned Sky today and off shore agent would not transfer me to UK retentions team, as he did not have the number and kept insisting he was the best person to talk to. After several requests for him to do so I insisted on being transferred to cancelations dept as I had had enough of his poor attitute. Surprise surprise he found a number that he did not know and the call was transferred by a very nice agent in Scotland!!! She was from the UK retentions team and very helpful. We went through my package and the outcome was my payment would be reduced by 30% with no £20 admin charge for a new 18 month contract and no increase next month.. Great result.
My message is to insist to be transferred to UK retentions team, when you want to renew contract nd not deal; with off shore agents who do not have access to best deals available.
