Cancelling Sky

I have been a Sky Broadband and TV customer for 24 years.  My current contract recently expired and they started charging me the full package price of £175 per month.  I think this is outrageous.  They probably tried to contact me but didnt - if this was me I would have let the contract roll over on a month by month basis like a property rental and not punish me for not getting in touch.

I have cancelled broadband but am struggling with tv - I spoke to a lady who tried to change my mind and then transferred me to another  who pretended she couldnt hear me even though there were no hearing issues with previous person.  She called me back and as soon as I answered after 2 rings she cut me off and has not clled me since.  Very poor service

The onus was on you to know when your minimum term discount ended and you started paying the full undiscounted cost.

To fully cancel your TV subscription, now your minimum term has ended you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice.

See the below link
https://www.sky.com/help/your-account/my-account-and-subscription/cancelling/cancel-my-subscription/...

Select ‘No, I still need help’ at the bottom of the link which will lead to contact methods.
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ It may include a phone number, an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ there’s a text option (Monday-Friday 9am to 4:30pm) otherwise it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

Re: Cancelling Sky

Thank you - I am aware of that but what has annoyed me is the difficulty in cancelling - the person I spoke to said she would call back and didnt.  Its just very shoddy service.  They will happily call you back when you want to extend your contract or spend your money.  Virgin in comparison have been a delight
