I cancelled my contract with sky in December and I am up to date with payments but now they have sent me another bill and when I try to contact them all I keep getting is automated and it says I have to pay outstanding before I can talk to anyone but I don't have any outstanding and now they are threatening further action. How can you speak to a human to discuss this.

After cancelling did you get email confirmation from Sky regarding this as it might be that your account wasn't cancelled hence this new bill sodid you call them to cancel ?

My new supplier said they would deal with it all and I didn't have to do anything as they would contact sky to notify them if the changeover

This wouldn't be the first time a new provider did not (or could not) cancel your services.
If so, then your Sky contract is very much current and needs paying. You cannot give notice to cancel if in debt.
