Cancelled contract in cool off period

I cancelled the broad band the same day I took it out as my husband took contract for sky glass tv /broadband I then rang to request a pre paid box to return the sky box but not received this I called and they told me it was cancelled but now you are saying I have not paid my first month subscription I have cancelled the contract in my name and my husband has got the contact in his name that he's paying for ! What can I do ? I have spoken to 3 people all saying it's cancelled but now you are demanding payment

There is a few things I don't understand here, you say you ordered and then on the same day cancelled a Sky Broadband order so what is it you are trying to return, were you sent a broadband hub, if so could it be a non return charge for this that has been applied rather than a first bill ?
