Cancellation form

I need to cancel all of my Sky services as I am selling up and moving to a property where I don't need any TV or internet service as it's included in the rental for a while.   I am using TV, Broadband, Talk.

I am moving out in less than a month so I guess they also need to release the broadband line for the new owner.  I do understand that I'll have to pay for 31 days of TV from the cancellation date.

I have found a link to an online cancellation form which I filled in - it automatically picked up my email address so I guess it must be the correct one.

Will this work or do I need to call them to ensure cancellation?

(I am out of contract and have been for ages).

You need to call.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Cat1967
To cancel your TV subscription fully, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice.

Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period to the account address. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

If you are cancelling Broadband/Talk altogether you need to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of any notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.

Re: Cancellation form

Yeah I will have to call them because after going through the virtual bot, it is asking me for a password "from when the account was first set up" which was 20 years ago.  I have no idea what that password was and I doubt my wife does either.

@Cat1967

Call Sky and when prompted for it say "forgotten it" or similar. Sky should be able to verify your identity as the account holder by other means and then set up a new telephone password with you although if you're cancelling everything you won't need to.
