Can I temporarily add the F1 channel to Sky essentials?
Hello, as we don't watch a lot of tv I managed to downgrade to the essentials package a few months ago. I would however like to add the F1 channel for the upcoming 2025 season and then cancel it at the end of the season; does anyone know if this is allowed on essentials, or would Sky insist I take the full quota and tie me in for a further couple of years? I would be grateful for any help; thanks in advance!

Just to reiterate; I'm on the "essentials" package and managed to add the F1 channel without the signature package back in March this year; maybe I slipped through the net or maybe it's because I'm very old and have been with Sky for over twenty years and they took pity on me! Whatever, I'm able to watch and record F1 on my Sky Q box.

I know I'm replying to myself here, but after logging in to sky it seems I can now have the F1 channel added to my essentials package for an extra £20 per month; 31 days notice to cancel etc etc, and without having to have the Signature package. So has something changed at Sky for them to allow me to take the F1 package?

Apologies for replying to myself yet again, but I went ahead, hit the confirmation button and am now watching the F1 testing on sky channel 406; result! So it would appear that if you are on the essentials package, like me, you no longer need the Signature package to add a sky sports package.

Is this still true? I'm on Signature + Sky F1 now and I'm currently in a chat with Sky and they are telling me I cannot have Sky F1 without the £40 Signature package.
