HI,
I currently have broadband and TV with Sky. I called to cancel my TV subscription but i'm happy to keep my broadband.
I was advised by the Sky representative that I spoke with that, if I do this my broadband speed will be impacted by slower speeds and weaker signals around the house. This would cause me issues as I work from home.
Does anyone know if this is actually true? It seems a little odd!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out morePossibly. Assuming you have Sky Q, the box and any Mini boxes you might have act as wifi hotpots to which your devices may connect instead of to your Sky Hub. Obviously without your Sky Q boxes, they won't be able to do that and will have to connect directly to the Hub. If the Hub is further away, the WiFi signal may be weaker.
But if it was the case, you could buy a booster from Sky or elsewhere to improve the WiFi signal.
