Billed today and it says ‘sky subscriber’ on my bank account, could it be fraud?

Got billed today even though both my sky bills are paid up to date, has 'sky subscriber' showed up on anyone's bank and if so what was it for?

No the payment just came out, it is saying pending. It isn't on a date that my sky direct debits normally come out

Sounds suspicious.

 

If none of your Sky billing shows it then I'd query it with your bank first.

 

EDIT: Just checked mine

For a credit card payment it says 'Sky Mobile' and 'Sky Subscription'.  (There's no mention of my account number)

I think Sky use your account number as the reference number so does this match up ?
