My Sky broadband changed to BT on the 16th October. Sky charged me for broadband from 16th Oct until 9th Nov and my new bill still has broadband charged from 9th Nov.
HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL SKY THAT I NO LONGER HAVE BROADBAND WITH THEM BEFORE THEY GET THE MESSAGE !!
They owe me a credit from my last bill and should no longer be billing me for broadband. I've cancelled my direct debit until they get it sorted.

Cancelling your payment method is very unwise and will increase your problems. Late payment fees could still be added if you haven't cancelled, you won't be able to speak to Sky and continued non payment will result in Sky passing any debt to a Debt Recovery company which will ultimately affect your credit score. Also it will delay any subsequent reimbursement.

They've acknowledged it several times on the phone plus I've a text from them saying I don't owe anything for returned equipment.

That doesn't appear to be the issue here is it or are you saying they are billing you for not returning this equipment rather than continuing to bill you for the broadband ?

Phoned them, told them I was cancelling my Skymax broadband within the two week grace period and that I was moving to BT. I asked for written confirmation that I would not be charged for the Sky equipment because it was within the 2 week grace period which they did by text.

So you placed an order for Sky Broadband but cancelled before it was installed, if so as @GD1 has asked, did you receive any equipment ?

Yes I did receive equipment and it's ready to be picked up and every time I mention it they say I'll be receiving a returns bag which never arrives.

You can use your own packaging and also print off the labels for the returns here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/return-tv-broadband
