Billed after end of contract

My broadband bill for this month should be £17 or thereabouts (£17 contract offer), my contract expires on the 28th Nov but I have cancelled it from the 20th Nov (moving to Vodafone) why have I been billed for 21-30th November?

Also my Sky Stream runs 26th of one month to the 25th of the next, I was billed correctly for Sept-Oct, this month Oct-Nov I was billed again for the period of 20-25th Oct at £6, which they have credited me back but only £5.80, can anyone explain that?

Please advise, I don't want to talk to a person on the phone.

Many thanks 🙏🏼

@MZ12  Your bill will have been produced before your contact end date, therefore any overpayment will be refunded to you when your account is closed.

@MZ12

For Sky Q, Sky+ and Broadband/Talk the bills are generated 14 days prior to your payment date.

Mobile, Glass & Stream bills are generated 3 days prior to your payment date ~ therefore usually whilst you are still a customer. Any overpayment should be reimbursed to you after about 6 weeks from your last day of connection.

Re: Billed after end of contract

Okay, because I pay upfront with DD on the 1st of the month, so I will get back the overpayment for 21-30th eventually? Thank you.

Also, what about the 20p less I was refunded for being charged twice for the same period?

Yes.

20p is 1 day.  I presume 1 day was charged due to the dates.

But they charge and refunded me for the exact same days, why have they still charged me 1 day?

I presume because 1 day was usuable.  Otherwise, call Sky and battle for your 20p.
