Billed after cancellation

I gave notice to end my sky TV and broadband, which ended on 18 march. I had a prorated bill for the last month so believe I shouldn't have any further charge. I called and extended the broadband for one week, to 18 March however broadband went out, called to check the weeks extension and was told there was a line fault and an engineer needed to come out. No access to broadband from 10 march. I've just seen I've had a direct debit of £34.50 taken out for broadband for march to April, but online account shows all cancelled. Can I get this refunded ASAP as I had no service from my original contract end date, and in any case why charge a whole month for 7 days?

Billing doesn't stop during your notice period so this will be why you have been billed again as it continues are usual when you have given notice to leave. Now you have left you should see a credit on the account for the overpayment so when you see this and as long as you have left your payment method in place post back here as Sky's messaging team can get in contact with you via here to issue the refund.

If your Sky account is in credit, you can request a refund and we can get some help for you with that. If not, it's something you'll need to take up directly with Sky.

Thanks for responding, the payment was taken 19 March so after both the original end date and the extension to 18 March and after a reduced previous bill, so confusing! 

I'll give them a ring as keep going round in circles on the my sky app and chat bot

Does your account show now as cancelled because if everything has gone through correctly you should now (or within the next few days) see that payment appear as a credit as per my previous post so it can be refunded back to you.
