Billed a full month after switching to another supplier

I switched to another provider for my Broadband on 26.1.14. I was out of contract with SKY. I have paid a full month on 7.2.24 which was a high amount of £39.50 which according to the bill is covered up to 6.3.24. I was of course charged a full month from my new supplier. This has resulted in very expensive month for Broadband. Should I not be entitled to a refund?

If you cancelled on 26 January you then started a 14 day notice period so ending 09 February. You should receive a refund of a full month less a couple of days which could take up to six weeks to reach you (if your payment method is still active) from the last day of your connection.

Sky will need to raise a cheque and post it to you so that'll mean a further delay.
