How did you cancel?
Did you get an email confirming cancellation?
When was your last day of connection?

Find out moreBills are generated 14 days before billing date - if your service was still active (even if stopping the following day) then a full bill is generated, including the month in advance. Remember you have to give notice when cancelling - it's not immediate.
Next month's bill will generate the corresponding credit and should be automatically refunded in 6 weeks - earlier if you chase it.
