Bill went from 23 to 43 for no reason? + Locked out of my account abroad..

I am currently abroad in America visiting my partners family.

My 2nd ever bill is coming up and its showing 42.29 GBP it is going to take.

Erm I dont think so! I have the emails showing clearly 23 GBP due per month it is for broadband nothing else.

I switched from Virgin to Sky for Broadband and expected a better service tbf.

£42.29 is what they showing. What!? It is meant to be £23 Exactly.

They have now locked my account. Presumably because I forgot password and reset it.

Well, I am NOT roaming!

- Why is my bill randomly more

- Why did sky not inform me of this? and instead are just going to take over twice the amount
- Why on earth is it not possible to chat to a real human being

I am unable to contact them. Help.

@Anonymous  You're not adressing Sky customer services, if  you have recently taken sky services the bills will be higher for the 1st 2 bills as explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/understanding-my-bills

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Your 2nd will cover more than 1 month as you pay monthly in advance.

if future bills are showing the expected amount then it's almost certainly correct.

also, note that unless you agreed a fixed price contract then it will rise in April (paid in March) when they increase prices annually.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
