Bill showing as unpaid

My mobile bill was due to be paid on the 1st. TV and broadband was taken as usual but mobile is showing as unpaid. Mobile account says it was attempted on the 2nd and reversed on the 5th. There were definitely enough funds in my account, and have tallied up my balance which shows that it is minus the bill amount, however Sky is insisting they haven't had payment. Can anyone shed any light on why this has happened? Sky say they will attempt payment again on the 11th but this time there won't be funds in there because the amount has already been taken, so not sure what to do next.

What does your bank account show for the date payment was due and the day after?

It is not on the transaction list, but after working out all other payments that have left or pending the amount left missing is the Sky bill amount. Looked at my direct debit list and it's on there as last paid on 4.1.24, but there is nothing on transactions for that date.

In that case I think you'll need to speak to your bank to establish what has happened to it. Any transaction that was paid successfully should appear on your bank account.
