Bill already paid but skys trying to still take payment

I'm wondering why if I have paid the bill upfront why would sky be trying to take money when it already states paid on my bill how is a company not paying attention to the payments and still trying to take money.

@Vai  Did you make a manual payment, if so why?  You will have a recurring payment method setup either card or direct debit, making manual payments won't stop this, therefore don't make manual payments and this won't happen

Because I like to pay my bills before they are due one it's easier for me and never in my life have i heard such nonsense as other companies stop the charge from debit etc bt virgin and others like even mobile networks etc Tesco mobile 3 etc.

Depends on the timing - payments have to made several days prior (and a manual payment cannot stop this)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Vai
If you have a continuous payment method set up you should never need to make a manual payment. Once the automated payment is made a credit will appear on your account for the amount you have overpaid. This should automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account. I would recommend not making manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

However, if you prefer, once your extra payment is showing as a credit we can perhaps get you some help in getting it refunded (within the standard 3-5 working days) through the Messaging Team. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that having confirmed it’s showing as a credit.
