I have only authorised the standard payment
I have been charged for Boost unknowingly since February 2023
What is going on?
this appears to be outright theft from my Bank Account...
has anybody been in this situation ?
has anybody taken this to the small claims court?
thanks
Ian

thanks for your reply Daniel
I use Vodafone for my Broadband
I have never had any Sky Router or such
it would appear as though I am being charged for something I'm not getting and didn't authorise
I checked back through my emails and I've been charged this since I subscribed beginning of 2023

If you subscribe to NOW for TV, that could be what the boost is (https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-are-boost-and-ultra-boost)

As @MarkGoldsmith identified, Now is a Sky Group company.
The Boost product name is used by both Now and Sky in different contexts: for Sky Broadband users it's 'Broadband Boost' (an add-on largely for better wireless coverage) while with Now TV subscribers it's 'Boost' (and 'Ultra Boost'), a supplement bringing higher video resolution, more devices in use, better audio and no adverts. I suspect it's this Boost you have been charged for, as it's priced at £6: you may, for example, have accepted a free trial which then turned into a subscription supplement by default.

If you are adamant that you didn't knowingly opt in to this Now TV subscription supplement then you'll need to argue that out with Sky.

By coincidence in today's news:
In the case of Sky, the ASA criticised the way subscription options were presented to customers signing up for streaming service Now TV, which belongs to Sky.
Customers who signed up found that free trials for its Cinema and Boost services were automatically added to their basket and would auto-renew for a fee unless cancelled at the end of the seven-day free trial period.
Although the conditions of the free trial were stated, the ASA said the information was in a smaller font and a less prominent colour.
The text was also underneath the button to proceed, making it likely that people would miss it, the ASA said.
Sky said it believed the presentation of the ad was clear, legible and immediately visible.
It added that the concept of a seven-day free trial was so widely understood that it was not misleading.
