Been miss sold. Taken payment for sky sports which I never wanted.

ENgineer visit for a sjy q issue. He said we needed to upgrade our fibre - and that to do so would reduce our monthly bill by couple £. So agreed. Before he left he said there was a deal for 2 months free sky sports. I said we wouldnt likely use so no thankyou. He persuaded me that was completely free and at the end of the 2 months no payment would be taken unless I agreed to sbscrible via an email that would be sent to me.  My bill has jumped up to £170! I am newly retired and this is just not affordable. I have been dreadfully miss sold and scammed. I insist on a full refund of any payments for sky sports and for it to be immediately removed from my account. I have been a customer for many years and to be treated this way is appaling. I cant contact anyone, I cant see any way of amending online. completely disgraceful.. Call me please asap to sort this mess out.

No one will / can call you. l’m afraid you aren’t speaking to Sky Customer Services by posting here. This is a customer ➡️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other Sky customers.


To remove Sky Sports you need to contact Sky giving the standard 31 days notice. Be aware if you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them. 

These are the current methods for contacting Sky (and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via

for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟩 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

🟨Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.
