Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@DenisR It looks like you have gone the wrong way about this entirely, did you give 31 days notice to cancel? If not then billing would continue. Have you assumed that the discount end date was a contract end date?
How did you cancel? Did you receive confirmation that your cancellation was processed?
If so billing will continue up to the next due date, at which point any overpayment would have been refunded to you.
Making the claim on your direct debit as you did has resulted in the backdated payments being claimed.

@GD1 After 4 weeks of having no Sky service, them not listening or fixing my isue and hours of wasted phonecalls, I did not feel I should pay for a service I did not recerive. Therefore under SEPA rules I had my Direct ebot refundeds as is 'entirely' my legal right here in Europe.

You can certainly do that, but if Sky think you still owe them money, they'll pursue for it. It's normal to overpay when you cancel your service - it's the way Sky's billing works. They will, of course, refund the overpayment from the date your services ended.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@DenisR In that case Sky are right to collect the oustanding balance as you've not actually cancelled your services, there is an issue with a fault which should be fixed but to cease paying has now caused this issue.
Untill you actually cancel your services payment is still due and will continue to be so until you move provider or cancel your services.
