BT Openreach and Sky. A Marriage Made in Hell.
After 15 years if being a Sky customer, I've had enough, mainly due to BT Openreach. A few years back, I decided to upgrade my broadband. A BT Openreach "engineer" turned up and enabled my broadband, but not before he ended up separating a 4 ft section of skirting board from the wall and leaving a crack in the wall, leaving without telling me about the damage. Luckily I saw the result of his handiwork and called him on before he went too far (escaped). He returned with a colleague but between them, couldn't repair the damage, so I called Sky, only to be told, in as many words, it wasn't their problem and I needed to contact BT. I wasn't even given a contact number. After some research I found their contact details and arranged for the damage to be repaired. The skirting board was reattached but the crack in my wall was left for me to sort out. I would have dropped Sky like a bad habit there and then but I attributed the [removed] to BT and who were less than unhelpful when it came to owning their [removed]. To be fair, so were Sky, but up until then my service from them had been good, so I let it go. Fast forward to the latter part of 2024. I received a letter from Sky telling me my broadband hadn't been running as it should, so I could cancel my BB contract, or upgrade it to fibre. I decided on the upgrade so informed Sky. They said the service would be going live at the beginning of January but that was quickly cancelled by them, leaving me to call and rearrange the appointment. I chose Feb 24th and made sure I booked the day off so I could be at home. On Saturday 22nd Feb I was in my Sky app and saw that the appointment for the 24th had been cancelled and rebooked for March 13th. More than a bit [removed], I called Sky for an explanation and was informed that nothing could be done about the change in appointment date this time, and the same thing could easily happen again because like Drake and Kendrick, BT and Sky don't seem to talk to one another. On hearing that, I thought sod the TV channels cancellation fee, Sky and I are done. I communicated that I'd like the order to upgrade my BB cancelled, and once that had been done, I'd contact my new BB/ TV provider and get them to take over the service. That was on Feb 22nd remember. It is now March 4th and far from my BB installation being cancelled, I've received a text telling me that BT will be enabling my BB fibre service on March 19th. Once again I called Sky and was told in as many words that this is how it is. So, I am still waiting to get a new media BB supplier and being charged more by Sky for a service that I don't want and in terms of broadband, a service that has underperformed for months. And I pay these lot nearly £200 a month. I can't wait until they finally do what they were asked to do, and I can let them know that due to living with a substandard BB package, they will be crediting my bill with a fair sum.

Re: BT Openreach and Sky. A Marriage Made in Hell.
It may help to stop referring to BT as that might be causing confusion. There is no such thing as “BT Openreach”. Openreach and BT have been separate companies since the ‘80s. If you contact BT, they will not be able to help as they have no direct link with Openreach.
Sky are technically Openreach’s customer so Sky should really forward your complaint for you but I seem to recall that there is a form to report damage (to Openreach equipment) on the Openreach website. Longshot but it might be worth a try. There may also be complaint contact details somewhere on there.
Sorry if that doesn't help but the info is well intensioned.

Re: BT Openreach and Sky. A Marriage Made in Hell.
Openreach Ltd is wholly owned by BT Group, but required by Ofcom to operate independently of 'BT' (the ISP and telco) and provide equal service to all ISPs on the national network.
The damage report link on the Openreach website is for hazards caused by lines, poles, cabinets and ducts, so unfortunately I don't think that's going to be useful in this instance.
