Are Sky ripping us off with non existent Vue cinema tickets???

Hello

 

Every so often I try and book the Vue tickets that Sky seem to offer.  

 

And every so often I spend hours trying to book tickets.

 

Is this a scam?

 

So, tonight, I got the codes from Sky for my 'free' cinema tickets.  Codes came through.  And then I looked at a Vue cinema in my area and found the movie I wanted to go to (Today is Sunday, I want to book for Tuesday viewing) and the statement came up:  'Sorry, it looks likethere is an issue with your code.  As a reminder, Sky Cinema codes are valid Sunday-Thursday and they expire at the end of each month.  Please check your codes here or visit www.myvue.com/faqs'....

 

I get this every single time!!!!  I go to Vue, put in my details and then go around multiple sites, each scavenging my data and personal details, and get nowhere.

 

What's going on??

All answers welcome.  And if there's a way to bypass this, then let me know.  Otherwise all the bad things about Sky are true and I'm just being scammed.  

 

Finally, the topic area is not on the pre-list, so this 'complaint' may not even get seen!

Have you contacted Vue to find out why these codes are not working on their website ?

It's been running for a year and open to all the millions of Sky Cinema subscription households.  A scam seems somewhat unlikely, and would probably have been noticed.

Are you definitely applying the codes from Vue's website and not via their app? 

 

I've always been able to use the monthly Vue vouchers by applying the codes here after choosing seats:

I book free sky tickets every month as does my daughter so we always book 4 free tickets. Never have any problems at all

I have recently experienced this April & May this year. Before never had an issue. Vue are not very helpful
