Am i been ripped off or just an idiot?

I have a tablet with £110 left to pay on the contract did a swap had to pay 90 upfront said towards the 110 balance and sent tablet back for £20 (broken screen) got a new contract phone. Few days later sky emails said tablet isn't as stated will be an extra 40 on next bill do you accept we clicked yes wasn't happy tbh thought i was paying an extra 20 on top of the remaining balance but I wanted the phone it then said AFTER I clicked yes that I had to pay 110 remain tablet balance aswell was like **bleep**. So rang the advisor got him to explain it to me he did so I cancelled my swap I then wanted to record what was said but when am questioning what he is saying to me about cancelling my swap how they cannot return my tablet how I will have to pay tablet contract all in one go but can still cancel my swap am still in my 30 days why won't they give me my tablet back why aren't they reinstating my original contract on why are they charging me over double my usual bill(usual£163) l. He hung up on me when am trying to get him to explain then complained relieved an email to say my complaint has been received at 14.16 received another email at 14.16 to say complaint closed. Am I the fool or just foolish

Sounds a bit too complicated for us to prognosticate on, without knowing Sky's thinking (unless another Community member can fathom it out @caesarome 🙂).

@Newskycustomer I think I'd call back and say you didn't understand the explanation given to you before and and ask for it to be explained again.

I'd suggest carrying out a 'Swap' with a broken device is always going to have the potential to be challenging...

When you did you swap if there was still an amount to pay on it then you do still have to pay this so that the credit agreement on it has been paid of in full and this will be the £110 plus an extra for the damage comes from as you can't avoid paying this.

All you can do now is to call Sky and discuss this with them, 150 from a Sky Mobile is the number to call.

I agree with @Mark39 , best give Sky a call so they can look into this for you as it seems to be a bit of a mess.
