All I want is a new 24 month contract!

My contract comes to end the beginning of January 25 so i tried phoning up and renewing. I do this every 2 years having been with Sky for over 25 years. To my surprise Sky wanted to increase my subscription this time for a new 24 month contract - I was paying retail price for Sly Stream as it was new 2 years ago. They wouldnt budge so i cancelled. I then got a half price offer for 9 months on the Sky Ulitimate package, 31 day rolling.

So i took this offer up, but they will not give me a 24 month contract on the whole package, so i'm on a 31 day rolling contract. I'll cancel after 9 months.

I don't get this, I'm a loyal customer who just wants a bit of a discount and is prepared to sign up to 24 months, guaranteed income for 2 years for Sky. You give new customers a significant discount for 24 months. I guess i can just cancel and sign up as a new customer under my partners name in 9 months time, shame i have to go thought his effort.

Also, why can customer retentions not do Sky Stream contracts! I get pushed from person to person on the phone call merry go round, its kinda frustrating Sky. This is not really good customer service. Should be able to do all this online.

The chances are you might get an offer then to stop you from cancelling....
