Address required for returning Sky equipment.

I've cancelled my Sky BB and TV account and now wish to return all of their equipment back to them, however I cannot find any returns address here in Ireland or what their protocol is regarding tracked postage etc.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks,

Danny.

@PaulMac

Once you've successfully cancelled your subscription Sky should send out returns packaging near the end of the cancellation period, [14 days for Broadband hub and 31 days for Sky Q box(es)], to the address that the subscription was registered at.

This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.

Keep your proof of posting safe and indefinitely and if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

You can use whatever boxes you have or can get as this link will help you to print the return label and return it via Royal Mail:

Add a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment you’ve included.
Make sure you get and keep proof of posting when sending this off.

I would expect Sky Ireland to send you returns packaging at the end of your notice periods. If it doesn't arrive give Sky Ireland a call.

Re: Address required for returning Sky equipment.

They make it impossible to cancel and wont show an address anywhere to return their equipment. This company is one of the worse companies that I have ever dealt with trying to give notice to cancel the service. I have spent at least 8 hours over the past 2 weeks trying to cancel the service

@PaulMac

To cancel all of your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.

Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

If you are cancelling Sky Q totally the return packaging will be sent out towards the end of your notice period. Don’t forget to keep your proof of posting indefinitely.

▪️
To cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk totally, or if you’re moving to a provider like Virgin Media or City Fibre etc who don’t use the Openreach set up, you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days, but if you are still in the initial 18 months deal Sky could impose cancellation charges. This link may help https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-broadband

If you are changing to another provider who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.
You’ll need to return any loaned router to Sky, so it’s important you get proof of posting and keep it indefinitely. Return packaging will be sent out to you near the end of the notice period.

Re: Address required for returning Sky equipment.

Hi Thanks for your reply, but whats the address to return the equipment do you know?

Its impossible to find on their website or anywhere on the internet.

I've tried cancelling through messanger and whatsapp, they keep sending secure links to approve my account, but when i add in the security questions, such as letters in my mothers maiden name they say that its wront, they say to enter the password for my account (which might not be the same password as my password to login, so what password is it?

I'm glad that i have records of all the whatsapp, messenger and even here of the conversations. They make it impossible to cancel. And will trty to bleed as much money out of me as they can

Re: Address required for returning Sky equipment.

Hi Daniel,

The first problem is trying to cancel my subscription. The second is finding the Irish address to post the equipment to.

For the address use the link posted by @Daniel0210 @and make sure the flag in the bottom right is set to Irelandcsnd go through the options as it should then allow you to print the return label.

As per my earlier post re TV cancellation - ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

Re: Address required for returning Sky equipment.

But there is a cost to call them, and the wait times are massive.

I will send them a letter to thiis address that I found

Sky Ireland Limited
One Burlington Plaza
Burlington Road, Dublin 4
Do you think that this is the right address, and also the right address to return the equipment?

What shows on this link for you when you go through the options:

Make sure the flag is set to ROI in the bottom right corner.
