Address change for TV package that was ended 3 years ago.

I moved home over 3 years ago and didn't take my sky tv package with me. I need to update my address to my newvone niw as I want to get a bew TV package. It won't let me update it online. It's so frustrating, as I already have a mobile package with Sky under my new address too, which I kept when I moved! I just cancelled the TV package. Can someone help? Thank u

@sammyel   As you left Sky and then returned after being away for a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID.

If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first as this will then free it up allowing it to be used when setting your new ID up. You can do this by logging into the old account here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

Re: Address change for TV package that was ended 3 years ago.

Hi and thank you.

However, I don't understand what you mean - I didn't leave and then come back after a year?  I had a Mobile and TV contact with Sky. I moved 3 years ago, taking my mobile contact with me to my new address. I did not transfer my TV package to my new adress.  I want to re-start my TV package but my old address is still showing and I can't change it, yet my mobile contract is under my new adress. It should be a very easy thing to do but it's not. Hence my frustration.

I have tried all that already but I keep getting 'system error'. I just want a new TV package at my new adress but I'm reconsidering now as it's such a faff. I might just leave it.

Re: Address change for TV package that was ended 3 years ago.

Oh and my account isn't closed at all. Plus, I'd like to keep my email address as thats the one I use for my mobile. I shouldn't have to use a new/different email address and get a new ID.

This is my problem.  And of course, I cannot get in touch with a human!

As you left Sky 3 years ago then that account will have been long since closed so now you need to sign up as a new customer so make sure you are logged out of your old account when doing this.

Yes, we see your comments but what we posted still stands.

You cancelled your TV service 3 years ago didn't you, if so you can not restart it as you have to sign up as a new customer.
