Account set up and contact glitch

I'm trying to set up a new account and purchase a new stream package. It keeps asking me if I'm the account holder, then to verify with the last two digits of my payment card. I'm don't have an account with Sky.

 

Then, I contacted the phone number provided with redundant options, before getting cut off.

Tried asking to speak to humans via the chatbot.

 

Not really feeling confident in Sky as a service provider to be frank.

 

Giving this forum a last effort. Before filing an official complaint

@ItsMayface  are you signed into an an existing account as it sounds like you are 

 

to sign up as a new customer you need to make sure that you are signed out 

 

have you had sky services previously

No, I've never had an account before. I may have accidentally set up an new account during this purchase set up. but have never bought or paid for anything frm Sky, so not sure why it's asking for my payment details

@ItsMayface  Try signing up again but make sure you're not signed in before starting

Nope it doesn't work as it eventually asks me to put in my email. The issue is when I put in my address. It's possible there's another account that has a sky account under my current address. Maybe a previous tenant.

 

But at the least I'd like to delete my registered email completely now

@ItsMayface  Ah yes if a previous owner/tenent had an account which they never cancelled or transferred away from your current address  then sky will block any new account setups until that account has been cancelled or transferred 

 

if this situation unless you have contacted with previous owners and can ask them about this there's nothing else you can do I'm afraid
