Re: Credit refund
Hi, yesterday i received an email telling me im due a credit refund. The phone number looks dodgy. And I've previously been subjected to a 'sky' scam so I really reluctant to phone this number. I cancelled sky last year. I've just faffed about with the AI robot, but they don't get what im asking. I've managed to log onto my old account and I have 58.77 in credit. And having read these posts I hoping someone can help me get it back into my bank, without dealing with a robot.

Many people have received these emails and letters and if it addresses you by your first name and shows an 0808 number to call then it is from Sky. The reason you have been sent it is because of the credit left on your account and because there is no payment details left on your account so they will send you a cheque instead so you do need to call the number if you are still at the same property and have not moved.

Re: Credit refund
It has been confirmed by Community forum staff that these emails are genuine and they have probably been sent because your previous payment method is no longer active.

Re: Credit refund
To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.
This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

Re: Final bill credit refund
I no longer have the DD set up that was on the original account.
I moved back in with my elderly parents to take care of them. They have SKY so I took over their account and direct debit so had to close the DD that was linked to my previous account.

You will be asked to setup the DD again so that the refund can be repaid via it so to get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.
