Account closed and showing I am in credit

Hi

i have left sky and returned all requested equipment and sky acknowledged this my present bill shows a £44.29 credit which says it will go to pay future bills, yet all estimated future bills show £0 . It was a nightmare cancelling my account as I spent hours going round in circles with these BOTS not connecting me to a human! I have Parkinson's disease and the hours of endless messages was distressing. My direct debit is still open, some reports say sky don't refund until you ask for it and can take months. Can someone help me to get a reliable and quick way to contact sky to get my refund in an appropriate timely manner?

Many thanks for your speedy and knowledgeable support pity it was to get my final bill sorted after 2 periods of sky membership the first for well over 10 years and the second after a short break due relocation of over 15!

 

Tell sky to get rid of those stupid BOTs that cause frustration and send you round in loops for hours

Refunds should normally take about 6 weeks from your last day of connection, but recent posts on here suggest in some cases it is taking longer.

We can potentially help you get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here if you wish. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.

That would be very helpful especially now how difficult it is to connect to anyone in a position to help at sky, which is a shame after being a customer for well over 25 years it is only in the last few that the decline in customer service has been so noticeable.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have just 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.
