Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
I have already spoken to them and it's not possible as in the terms and conditions dictions it states the raise is based on the full cost of subscription not any discounted rate you may be on even though I only signed my contract in November

Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
The standard price is £36, so how can they increase it to £40.50 (90p more than the 10% contractual max)?

Have you raised it with Sky?

Do you have other subscriptions? What is the overall percentage increase if you do?

Hi @guitarboy123 How can they? because they can, but it gives you an opportunity to vote with your feet. That is if you only subscribe to Sky Signature and nothing else. If not you need to add up all the list prices and see what your contractual list price percentage increase is.

Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
Just co confirm.. sky signature has gone up from £36.50 to £40.50 (£4 increase) this is more than 10% so every customer who does not agree with this are free to cancel and it has been confirmed to me and i have been told i am free to cancel sky signature without penalty.
I cannot say how this will impact customers with sports or/and movies but signature can be cancelled.

I called Sky within a few days and was told I could not leave without penalty.
Sky will be losing me as a customer of over 20 years as soon as I am able

Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
I would put in a complaint as its clearly states if sky increases by more than 10% a customer can cancel, this was confirmed today with signature and the disgusting 11% increase so i will wait for the new season of The Last Of Us to start, binge the new season and then put in my cancellation.
Like yourself i have been a customer for a long time, 23 years to be exact and there is nothing worth watching other than new season of gangs of london which i have just finished and im not paying this amount of money to watch freeview

Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
I rang sky to cancel TV as my bill is over £80/month including Netflix and broadband. They talked me into getting fibre broadband and a new mobile contract. No deals on TV packages. Can I leave sky TV and keep the Q box? Can you rent the box?

Re: 2025 April Price Increase is 14.9%
Sky stated that is the percentage above normal costs and not the percentage for deal I signed up to and this is stated in the small print (who reads the small print ) so pointless to ever agree a deal with Sky. as you can imagine I'm very unhappy with this as it was only in November that I agreed the deal.

Thats correct, as the price increase that Sky do is on the base list price. In reality due to the how Sky's discounting model working with different customers on different levels of discounts setting the annual price rise of the list price of each service really is the only mechanism open to them. Unfortunately this down side to those with the best discounts as the percentage increase in real terms on their monthly cost therefore ends up being higher.
Personally what i've found is that some years it may work in a customer's favour ( and your % increase is less than the average Sky publish) and some years it works against you ( with the % increase being more than the published average). I recall last year i was lucky to be on the right side of what packages they increased in price so my increase was less than the average, however this year its the complete reverse and my percentage increase works out at more than the average.

The lowest sub (essentials) allows you to rent the box. It's only Freeview channels and retails at £15pm I believe.
