They didn't waive the fee this morning when I challenged it, the person basically said they do not know what the fee was for, however used to add credit to cancel them out, so suspect that alone shows that something is not right. I will call back tomorrow to cancel my cancelation, and take the offer, pay the "admin fee", but make it known only doing that so I can challenge it further down the line, I have the exact wording to use.

It's worth noting Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount so there is no guarantee the previous offer will be repeated.

The offer was not time limited, which I have always found strange about Sky that they do not advise this on the call, so will still stand, its part of the DSR, so have a 14 day CoP for anything accpected or declined. Unlike Virgin / BT / EE / Plusnet, Sky are really loose in this area, but to be fair not really had an issue with "dodgy" dealings with sky until now.
I record all my calls like this as been caught a few times and always good to transcibe them back to text.

The £20 admin fee was non-negotiable so for £49 a month I moved to EE TV saving myself £68 a month from a discounted price and a whopping £100 a month.

I have just had the same. They reduced broadband price minimally and then said it would cost me £20 admin fee (£10 for broadband & £10 for extending TV deal.)
Last time they waived the fee as a VIP customer and this time could not waive it and when asked to explain what the charge was for, they could not answer.
I have cancelled the broadband and went with Virgin which has saved me monthly as well. If they do the same with the TV when it is due for renewal I will cancel this as well.
Sky should value their customers! I don't understand why they let you cancel and then bombard you to join again, surely that will cost them more in admin fees 😵💫

I negotiated my admin fees away last time. But if they won't this time then I will be cancelling too...
