Can't login to My Sky App on Android - Stuck in login loop

Hi all, I'm getting stuck in a login loop for the My Sky App on Android.
Recently the app was updated, and when I started it I was greeted with a screen saying "Let's get you set up" and a "Continue" button.
Pushing the button launches a browser window and asks you to login with your Sky ID.
I enter my email address, go to the next page, enter my password, then get to the next screen that says "Login Successful" with a button that says "Return to My Sky App".
If I tap that it loads a new window that says the exact same thing, and just gets stuck in a loop.
Have tried clearing cache and data of the app, deleting it and reinstalling it.
No luck.
Can anyone help?

Is the andriod software up to date on your device ?

Have you tried this on both a wifi and a 4G/5G data connection ?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

No I don't have the very latest Android version but the Play page states it works with Android 8 and up, I have a much higher version than 8.

Yes I've tried WiFi & 4g/5g.

This seems like an account/auth issue rather than a lower level technical issue.

sky app is **bleep** cnt do sod all sky getting a phone call tomorrow . total rubbish service

I have the same problem. On the latest version of Android (on a Google Pixel 9) and the latest version of the My Sky App. Can't log in and access sky rewards.

This is what fixed it for me:

Go to Settings > Apps > My Sky.
Tap Open by default (or Opening links)
Select 'In the app'

Then try again.
