Discovery+ app account has wrong details

I have discovery+ as part of my sky q package which I haven't tried to use until now, and have tried to sign in to it with no luck as it kept saying my email address was wrong. Have since discovered the account email was my ex partners as he had access to my sky a couple of years ago. I have been told by sky to just create a new account but I can't do that as it says I have an account already and to sign in, which I can't do. Can someone advise me on how I can get round this and use my email to create an account
