My tip for anyone using a self service checkout is to hold your phone vertically for the vertical scanner on the self service checkout to scan it, i've never had success holding the phone facing downwards for the horizontal scanner on the self service checkout.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This offer in the MySky app / VIP appears to be unnecessarily complex to claim&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could someone either clarify it / improve it ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So far as I can see there are a limited number of vouchers - fine so far&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For many people (like me) , Sainsbury Superstores are not the most convenient choice for the offer as there isn't one anywhere near where I live.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let's say though, I decide it's worth a trip to have a look around and get a free pizza. I go on the app, the offer tells me not to activate until I can get to the checkout within 30 minutes&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so I go to the store- potentially by the time I get there - there are no codes left ? Is that how this works ?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I reach the page in the photo, have I reserved anything at this point ? The enail should have an activation link - valid until a certain date.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;By all means, make that final activation valid for only 30 minutes.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;At least then if I go to the Sainsbury store with a "success" email I know I will be able to claim my freebie.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Must admit the date for it seemed confusing as it appeared today. Had to read the offer a few times to get my head around the dates, thinking at first you only have a Tuesday to get it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;But then putting my brain in gear, think it's trying to say you can claim from today till Monday and have from now until Tuesday to get it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Must be a better way to word that...&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Sounds very overcomplicated. Why not just email a voucher barcode or qr code for the checkout staff to scan, rather than this long winded activation process.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Think for the way it works now it first needs to send an email to your phone with the activation website link, rather than that very random looking MySky message saying 'Almost there!'&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;At least then you know you have bagged the code that you can activate in store in the 30min timeframe. &lt;/P&gt;

To prevent fraud (such as taking a screen shot and sharing the code), the activated barcode actually changes once created.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you look at it you can see the bars moving. I get why this is done, but the thing would not scan! I tried every angle, the Sainsbury's team logged in, they tried it as well, but no joy. No wonder it needs a 30 minute countdown and you have to do it at checkout...&amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:"&gt;🤣&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This was the third time someone had come in apparently and the first one did scan, but mine and one more didn't.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For security, there is no code on display that can be typed in and, as this is a Nectar promotion (according to the staff), there is no override code provided by Sainsbury's.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the end they had to get a supervisor to do a manual override to credit the cost of the pizza.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, nice pizza, understand the security requirements, but this doesn't work unless you really enjoy standing at the checkouts waving your phone around!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Although i understand this is more a Sainsbury's/Nectar process thing for free voucher codes where the item is higher than £3.50.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hello&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I went today to get my free pizza but when I showed the activated coupon it was flickering n there were no nmbrs underneath so they asked me to contact sky re this.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I went to get free pizza burning my petrol n came bk empty handed.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Am I getting anything for this as a goodwill gesture.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thnx&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Mrs Mrudula Dave&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;They also informed me that they are having problem activating this voucher with another customer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have now be twice to Sainsbury's ( last week with the pizza and today with the ice lollies) walked away empty handed as both times the vouchers will not scan! And now the vouchers have expired.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There must be a way if people can't get them to scan. Mine to&amp;nbsp; glitches as the timer counts down. Is there a problem sky?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Sainsbury's didn't give me the reward or override the voucher not working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;One thing to check is if all the T&amp;amp;Cs of the offer was met. i.e the Sainsbury store you shopped in was a superstore and not a Local.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know its a bit late now due to the fact you can only use the voucher within 30 minutes of activation but for next time worth taking a little cloth or tissue with you and trying to wipe/clean your phone screen before scanning the voucher and dust/dirt on the screen can prevent it reading the barcode correctly when its being scanned.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also its working for the majority, and its the minority it doesn't work for. If it was the majority there would be a lot more complaints on this forum than there currently are.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
