When you say it will not open what is actually happening, does it get stuck on

the Sky loading screen ?

How long have you left it as it can be a bit slow at times. If it is completely stick try deleting then installing the app to see if that cures it.

Have tried uninstall and reinstall several times. Also switching off phone several times

Have you checked for any updates as the last one for me was on the 9th of this month so are you running the latest version.
