'Live Feed' not working on Sky News LG Smart TV app

Trying to ‘Watch Sky News Live’ using Version 5.0.4 of the LG TV Sky News App (this is latest available on LG Software Version 06.10.50)

Fails with Error ‘There was a problem with this video [MEDIA_ERR_DECODE]’

Other ‘Channels’ (such as Weather) and ‘Featured’ clips work fine.

Any chance this will be fixed?

Yep it's been like this for a while, if you reinstall the app the LOVE TV might work the first time, it might also work a day or so later but only once , if you come away and go back it's impossible to start working again with the same error. All other vids work and no issues with any other apps. I'll report it to the email suggested below too. I feel your pain.

Thanks for the response. More enlightening than anything I've had from Sky! Been in an email back and forth with 'apps@sky.uk' where their responsees alternate between the following:

These steps might help resolve the issue you're facing:

1. Ensure your TV's software is up to date.
2. Restart your TV and the Sky app.
3. Check your Internet connection to ensure it is stable.

Roll on AI - unless this is it. In which case Roll off AI.

The usual generic stuff you have tried before engaging Sky. Not very helpful..

im waiting for my first real reply besides we recieved it and pointed the. To this thread. Still I expect to get the have you tried turning it off and on again reply first.
