Problems with accessing sky sports plus

Hi I subscribe to sky sports via my virgin media. I have tried to access this on my iPad but after getting a sky ID I found I couldn't progress any further as I was asked for my sky sports account number or my bank account number. I don't have an account with sky my account is with virgin. I pay extra for sky sports via virgin. I was able to provide my bank account number but not unexpectedly it was not recognised because I don't have an account with sky. My email address is known to sky. I'm not sure why but that's all. I see you can access sky sports plus via now tv but cannot see how via virgin. Am I alone with this problem.Any suggestions welcome

You can't access it via a Sky ID as you are not a Sky customer as you need to sign into the Sky Sports app with your Virgin login details as there is an option to do this.

Thanks for your response. I hadn't seen the option for virgin lower down. I managed to log in from there and found a live link to the orient v Bolton game. Frustratingly having got that far I couldn't find a way to watch the game. The best I could do was to watch a recording of the Bolton goal. Has anyone else got this far and found how to watch the game live as advertised about sky sports plus?

Probably to late now but for me U select Watch at the bottom then football then you can scroll through the live games until you see the match you want to watch.

I also have Sky Sports plus as part of my Virgin Media package but on my TV it does not give me a full range of matches (usually only a maximum of five) to choose from when I press the information button after the red button so I am often missing out on my team's match. Any suggestions about how to get the full range of match options?

As you are a Virgin Media customer you would need to ask them about this as this is a Sky customer helps customer forum so we will not know anything about their packages.
