new to sky - trying to get my VIP rewards via the app, but it keeps saying to download the app but i am on the app?

so are you using the right app on an appropriate device

If you have downloaded the MySky app and logged into it then you should see the VIP section at the bottom right as it is there you need to go.

Yes I realise that.
when I click on the link, it then takes me to download the app - even when the app already downloaded 🤦🏻‍♀️

Try deleting then installing the MySky app again.
