Need help with outstanding bill

My father is seriously ill in hospital and he has received an outstanding bill with a late payment fee. I tried to call the Sky billing operation but was quite rudely told they would not speak to me as I don't know his Sky password. I want to clarify some details before paying this bill.

How can I resolve this issue?

@c1adams1 Unless you have the acount password and authority to act on their behalf you won't be able to discuss another persons account.

There is no way around the security of his account.

Sky have correctly told you they won't speak to you as you're not the account holder and also can't get past the security question. They simply aren't permitted to do it.

If you have access to his previous bills have you compared the bill to a previous one to see if and why they might differ?
