When can I expect a refund of account credit when my service ended on 22 July this year?

@Weasill do you mean you cancelled? Your Sky service doesn't just end.

Contract ended and there is a £48 credit on my account "goes towards next bill". I won't have a next bill as I have a new provider.

But did you either contact Sky to cancel or use One Touch Switching if this was for broadband? Discounts automatically ended not your contract.

Yes of course I contacted Sky. I've got my August bill showing the credit. All I wanted to try and find out is when I'll get it. I'll give them a call as I don't think I'm going to get an answer here, only more questions!

You do realise you aren’t talking to Sky by posting here? The Community is made up predominantly of Sky customers helping other Sky customers which includes additional help from customers who are Superusers like @Mark39 and myself.

Refunds after cancelling a subscription should take about 6 weeks from the last day of connection, but posts on here suggest it’s taking longer ~ (what would have been the next payment date has to have passed as well).

We can potentially help you get it refunded within 3-5 working days via staff from the Community Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.

Before we can escalate it to Sky we need confirmation that:
▪️the credit is still showing on your Sky account and,
▪️the payment method is still active.

If you’ve already cancelled your payment method Sky can either reinstate it, or get a back office team to raise a cheque to post to you but that obviously takes a lot longer.

The question was perfectly civil and entirely reasonable. Shame about the reply....
