I would like to change my payment date from the 1st to 7th please due to a new job

If you are a new customer you have to let two payments go through before you can change the date.

See this link. Any change could also change the amount payable as a bill will end up being for a period longer than the usual 4 weeks.

It's also too late to change it for September.

A collection will be attempted on the 1st, assuming you pay by DD the it will be reattempted 10 days later if the first collection fails.

Do not be tempted to make a manual payment as it will not stop the automated one.

It's worth pointing out...

Bills for Sky Q, Sky+, and Sky Broadband/Talk are generated 14 days before your payment date.

Bills for Sky Mobile, Sky Glass and Stream are generated 3 days beforehand.

So as @PandJ2020 has indicated it's probably too late for the September payment.
