The Sky T&Cs specifically state "cancel at 'any time' and continue to enjoy your paramount + for the rest of the year". This is clearly an error and at odds with what Paramount are saying. You would have thought both parties would have had to sign up to the T&Cs as it is a joint offer. I followed the T&Cs to the letter so believe Sky should consequently rectify this for me and reinstate my 1 year contract.

I set up the account as instructed in the VIP app section in order to get a one year free subscription to paramount +. In the information it said I could cancel at any time and still get my one year subscription. So I cancelled immediately but I've now had my sub subscription cancelled after a week.

Sky involment of this vip offer is just to give you a code to put on the paramount + web site you actual paramount + subscription is with paramount+ direct as would have realise as you had to give them you payment details as part of the sign up process. It actually just a way of paramount+ getting new custome as it not available to exsisting subscribers of paramount + if they try putting the code provided by that just invalid come up on the screen. When I did the offer and the end of sign up prosess on the paramount+ web site , there was a warning on screen that canceling within or the start of 12 month promotion period would mean that your subscription will end in you case either immediately if you already had the initial 7 day free period before cancelling or as your case after the end of the 7day free period if still that period when you cancelled and the you will lose any remaining period of the 12 month promotional period. In your case unfortunately that all of it because canceled before it even started. As I said you contract is with paramount + direct, and it there terms and conditions that apply which this offer andone of them unfortunately though Sky information said you cancel and still get the 12 month promotional period is wrong and though may be misleading, complaining to Sky will probably have no effect as apart from giving the code this offer is no other way connected with Sky.

If you have spoken to Sky and got no where then the next step will be to put in a complaint:

As I also previously said when do go though the set up process on the Paramount web site a small message dose pop up towards the end of set up process, warning the subscriber that if they cancel or even just upgrade to different tier, during the promotion period cancellation take place immediately in the event of cancelation or the upgrade takes place or at the end of initial 7 day period and but in both instances, the rest of free promotion period is lossed, therefore Paramount + position is made clear on the matter and is covered

However you can always try one last shot and get on to paramount + and either tell them of Sky miss information or just say you cancelled in error and see if they would reinstate you subscription and promotion period.
