@Definitely
Apart from the inevitable annual price increase each April, the usual reason for a bill increase is that your discounts have ended.

Perhaps compare the latest bill with previous ones to see where it differs.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

’Significant’ discounts seem harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new Sky customer so don’t expect anything on a par to a new customer deal.

See this link…
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/change-your-package-2-t2#downgrade

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that at the end of their minimum term you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.

I might as well sign up with EE...Much easier I think to get in touch as well than sky as it's got its own shops unlike sky which is more like ' big brother is watching you'...!!...

@Definitely wrote:
Nope they've taking double the normal amount out

Look at your bill. You can view it "bills and payment" in the My Sky app or by logging in to your account on my Sky web site. It will tell you in detail what that charge is for. Though it might seem a lot with than previous bills if you were on significant discounts and they have now finished, that might be the new monthly amount at full cost. Sky don't tell when your minimum term is up, they just apply it to the first bill after the end date. If that is what happened if you look at your previous bill it will confirm when the end of your discounts for every item in your package, was.
If you with a provider like EE like you suggest, there TV service works though broadband. I don't know what broadband provider you are on and if that is also on a minimum term too ,but to have EE TV you have to have there broadband service as well as that the only service that will gives you EE TV. I should add the EE TV service pay service are made up of Now tv HBO max Netflix and Disney+ all service that you can get by buying a cheap firestick and subscribing direct at proberbly less cost of of EE TV subscription. The other channels are free. Freeview channels that though many you may get on your Sky box at present and Sky actually provide those chanels though Sky dish if have satellite tv or broadband if you have Sky stream. But EE TV give you those channels by plugging in your own tv aerial in to there box and you already get those all those channels on you tv anyway without a EE subscription. So you might think Sky are money grabbers at the moment , but you are at least paying for a service that they are delivering though though there system unlike EE TV which you paying for apps that are freely avalable without there subscription and TV channels that you have already got. And you have to subscribe to there broadband to get them as well. So you might be pretty miffed and what Sky have charged you this month, but if it is minimum term that has come to end you can always contact Sky and see what they would offer you on a new minimum term. But what ever you decide think about your options first as if you go with some one like EE TV you might end up with a worse service that why Sky are presently providing you.

Only you can view your bill via the MySky app or online here so what does it show:

https://www.sky.com/bill/tv-broadband-talk

Does it should that last months bill was not paid so carried over to this one ?
