In both options ( glass or stream) was a offer that I would lose all my discounts I presently have with Sky Q with 24 month minimum term, no option for a rolling monthly contract. I would have to keep all the items I have on SkyQ no option to downgrade . With Sky stream I actually asked about changing to stream, but with glass they put the offer to me. Both with the same result as I have said above only with glass a discount on a new tv that I don't realy need or want. No by the look of it with end of Sky Q I will not be migrating to stream unless they do a lot better with there offers In fact in this instance if they want to keep there present satellite customer base they should be offering us exsisting customers simlar offer that they offer new customers, otherwise I think many will walk , because unlike satellite, with steam there is many more options than Sky,

Possible Phishing?

I just received a call from 0800 number. Agent said he was from Sky and knew my name. He said Sky were looking at long standing subscribers (I'm a VIP) with a view to seeing if their current package was still suitable.

I politely declined

Scam or phishing perhaps?

Has anybody else received similar?

@Cryoman

From Skys own website

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/received-call-from-08007613372

Of course any number can be spoofed. That link does suggest contacting Sky if you have any concerns.

With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it will be a scam call.

Thanks for that info Daniel. I wasn't aware of that number being "official" but as you say, numbers can and are regularly spoofed.

I also wasn't aware (or had forgotten) about the "safe word", I'll look into that further.

It just seemed unlikely that Sky would seek to give me a better deal voluntarily. Usually it means that they've thought of another service I might like to give them yet more money for every month!

There is a lot going on at home at the moment but I might just give them a call to see what they have to say.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond, and apologies for my slow reply
