People pay different prices depending on what discounts they have agreed or not with Sky.

When did you agree this discount with Sky, was it recently or a year or so ago ?

Not quite sure why I'm paying £15:00 more than what was agreed in my contract. I've also seen that my multi screen has gone up by £5:00, not informed and not happy as this was NOT agreed when I renewed! I actually know someone who is paying £7:00 for there Sky, yes you read that right £7:00!

They are almost certainly new customers and you aren't as you mention renewing.

How long ago did you renew? You are told at renewal how long your discounts will be for.

Plausible for 'Television Essentials' on Sky Q, but that's just free-to-air channels plus the ability to record: it's basically rental of a Freesat PVR.

Even the £15 Essential TV on Sky Stream is free-to-air plus the rump of Sky Atlantic content now most HBO isn't on it.

Hi, I have been a Sky customer for over 20 years, each year I have to haggle the price. I renewed again in 2025, the price of £95 was agreed each month and that this would be until my next renewal in 2027. I noticed that the price for multi room has increased, they never tell you just increase the price and it annoys me. The person who paying £7.00 is not a new customer but an existing customer and they told me it was a 'dodgy stick' so they don't pay full price.

Though you have a minimum term with discounts, it doesn't mean that discounts for all items in your package will last the the full period of you minimum term as probably your multiroom didn't. True Sky don't actually inform you when the discount has finished they just apply the list price to next bill after it has finished. However if you looked at your bills either on the my Sky app or by logging in to your account on the Sky.com web site you will see every item of your Sky package itemised with the list price, how much discount is applied and when that discount will end. So if you looked at a previous bill and looked at your multiroom it will show just that, and will probably show when that discount will finish, which was probably last month.

Funnily enough, criminals can offer significantly lower cost when they aren't actually paying for the thing they are supplying...

None of that is going to Sky, so it cannot be a surprise that it's undercutting Sky pricing.
